Name: 'Revolution!' at West Cape May Elementary School
    Date: March 15, 2017
    Time: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM EDT
    Event Description:
Fifth and sixth grade students at West Cape May Elementary School are writing plays about the Revolutionary War under the guidance of their teacher Paige Calabro and East Lynne Theater Company's artistic director, Gayle Stahlhuth, who is also directing. Since focus is on playwriting, the performance is a staged reading, with script-in-hand. This is the 11th year that ELTC has provided workshops, with performances at this school, with no local funding. Funding for this East Lynne Theater Company's school residency is through New Jersey Theatre Alliance's (NJTA) The Stages Festival, the state's largest annual theater festival, offering over 100 performances, workshops, classes, and events at the states' professional theaters, performing arts centers, libraries, schools, senior centers, museums and other community venues. Since its inception 20 years ago, the program has served over 95,000 people. To receive a full schedule of events, visit www.stagesfestival.org. NJTA's "Stages Festival" is made possible in part by funding from its Spotlight Sponsors: The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, Bank of America, and The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey. Additional support is provided by The Smart Family Foundation, The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, Prudential Foundation, F.M. Kirby Foundation, and The George A. Ohl, Jr. Trust Foundation.
