Elaine’s Cape May hosts Kentucky Derby Event 

“And they’re off!”  On May 2nd, the world will be watching their favorite horses run for the roses in 2013’s Kentucky Derby.   To be a part of the fun, Elaine’s Cape May is hosting a Kentucky Derby Event out on their lawn and inside Phinney’s Pub as a fundraiser to benefit Animal Outreach of Cape May County.  

This past December, Elaine’s hosted a fundraiser for Santa for Sandy to assist the Southern New Jersey victims of Hurricane Sandy with great success.  Elaine’s has high hopes that the Kentucky Derby event will bring even greater support for Cape May’s local Animal Outreach.  

Live Music by Ashley and Perry of Animal House will be played on the porch and Elaine’s will have several HDTVs ready for viewing the Derby and its festivities.  Authentic Mint Julep cocktails will be served in an official glass of the 2013 Kentucky Derby and several unique vendors will be participating.  Elaine’s will even have a great prize for the winner of their “Run for the Roses” Best Hat contest!  Be sure to wear your most fun Derby hat and colorful attire!  

Tickets are $20 and include fun Southern foods and desserts and YES, you will even find Elaine’s delicious, homemade southern pecan pie!  Live music, cash bar.  The event starts at 4:00 pm on May 4^th, 2013
