"Rodgers’ Romance is a musical revue of songs with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein. It includes some of the best known theater songs from this canon, presented in an inventive format that breaks the fourth wall, engaging the hearts and minds of the audience. The director is David-Michael Kenney (“DMK”) who first created this musical event for Sellersville Theatre in 2004 and reprised it at Act II Playhouse in 2007. Accompanying the cast of four is Charles Gilbert, who is also the musical director. Harking back to a time before microphones, none will be used in this production, allowing the singers’ voices to be heard naturally in the excellent acoustics of East Lynne Theater Company's performance space. As if all this weren't enough, the musical revue is also a trivia competition, with the winner of the night receiving a gift certificate to a local business!
